26.12.2014

iRZ has completed the development of a new advanced TU41 GSM/3G modem and started its production. The new modem is already available for advanced order. The device enables data transmission over cellular network supporting 2G and 3G technologies. The modem supports the following frequency ranges depending on the communication standards: 900/1800 MHz for GSM/GPRS/EDGE; 900/2100 MHz for HSPA+/UMTS.

TU41 is equipped with USB interface for direct connection to a computer. The modem find a use for industrial applications based on common physical interfaces - RS232, RS485 and RS422.

TU41 comes with two SIM cards, two analogue inputs (ADC), 7 digital inputs/outputs, 4 of which are power ones (up to 0,5A, switching to the "+" power source), and +3,3V output to supply external interfaces with power.

TU 41 main communication functions: data transmission via UMTS/HSPA+/EDGE/GPRS, fax and SMS messaging. The modem is controlled by standard AT commands as well as by its own set of commands. The built-in watchdog timer prevents the device from hanging up.

TU41 features a built-in TCP/IP-stack and support for Java™. Java™ enables you to easily and quickly create user applications due to a wide range of tools, reliable application and data protection concept, and support for debugging of applications in the module.

High data rate, wide temperature range and compact housing make the TU41 modem a perfect solution for automated data acquisition systems, telemetry, remote control, vending systems, self-service terminals and other systems requiring wireless communication.
