TG21 – the new GSM modem with a built-in power supply unit

In the first half of 2014 iRZ company is putting on the market a new TG21 dual-band (900/1800 MHz) modem designed for data transmission over the cellular network. The modem supports GPRS (Class 10) and TCP/IP protocol stack. Among its distinctive features is a built-in power supply unit enabling to operate from the industrial network of ~220V 50/60Hz.
TG21 is focused on the use in industrial applications where the RS485 physical interface is used. This interface enables to connect simultaneously several external devices to the modem. All connections to the modem are made with the use of the terminal connector. The modem is assembled in the case meant to mount on DIN-rail.
TG21 supports all main communication functions: data transmission by CSD and GPRS technologies, fax and SMS transmit and receive. The modem management is realized with standard AT commands. The watchdog timer prevents from the device hang-up.
Extended temperature range and compact case provide the use of the modem in various industrial applications. The TG21 modem is focused on the use in automatic data acquisition systems from supply meters and other energy meters, vending machines, payment terminals, as well as other wireless data transmission systems.
